Netherland Inn Road is in Kingsport, Tennessee (Sullivan County). It can be accessed in Church Hill from 11W (Stone Drive).
It gets it's name from an old inn across from the Holston River. This road has always been a place where people tend to
drive faster than they should. The most common story I have heard of the road is that of Hugh Hamblin and his son. In 1922,
Charlie, Hamblin's son, was hit by one of these speeding cars. On a foggy night, walking home from the hospital, Hugh was
killed by a speeding car himself. There are reports that Hugh is seen of foggy mornings waving a light warning motorist
to slow down.
